The interview describes how response systems from HiST are used to provide and receive immediate feedback during training sessions, tests and exams. 2013-11-07 26 engaged VET teachers from Hitra and Frøya, Norway

Hitra high school, which are located in the costal zone of Mid-Norway, wants to test and start using online response systems in their training programs. The school offers training in a range of disciplines, including vocational education and training. In order to support their team of teachers during the start up phase, HiST offered a dedicated instructor training course in use of the online Student Response System (SRS).

2013-10-31 PeLe Assessments in Mechanics of Materials

PeLe - Peer Learning Assessment System - is frequently being used in the subject Mechanics of Materials at HiST. The lecturer, dr. Roger Bergh, is an experienced user of PeLe, and he is very satisfied with the recent updates with technical improvements of the system. For the teacher, the system has now become very user friendly. For the students, the login process is smooth and simple, the interface is easily understood, and it fails rarely, he says.

2013-10-30 PeLe - tool of the month in Russia

PELE, the web based Peer Learning Assessment System for mobile devices like smartphones, tabletts and laptop, has been selected as tool of the month at the educational portal "Learning and Teaching with the Web (LTW)". It is the largest university in Russia, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, that has done this selection.

2013-10-29 6 schools in Serbia test new language services

The language services developed by the iLike project, is going to be tested in elementary-, primary-, secondary and high schools in Belgrade and in the town Gornji Milanovac in Serbia. The testing is coordinated by Kristina Radojicic (picture) from the Drinka Pavlovic school in Belgrade.

2013-10-28 The ambassador opens the new videoroom in Sarajevo

The Norwegian ambassador in Bossnia opened the video room, which has been constructed by HiST, at the University of East Sarajevo. Representatives from the universities in Trondheim, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zagreb and Belgrade, attended the opening cermony.

2013-06-20 Use of student response systems at NTNU, Trondheim

An article in Universitetsavisa  (20.6.2013, in Norwegian) describes how two professors at NTNU in Trondheim uses new technology and blended learning methods to teach math and language courses. The Student Response System (SRS) from HiST is one of the successful approaches to engage and activate students.

2013-05-13 Flexibility and quality - the network conference on teaching in higher education

Dr. Roger Bergh from HiST gave a presentation at the network conference "Flexible learning - teaching in higher education", which was held in University of Agder, Kristiansand, on May 13th and 14th. More than 50 lecturers and researcers from higher education in Norway were present to see and hear about HiST's experiences from 4 - 5 years of actively using the HiST developed student response system (SRS).
