Successful demos of PeLe at the ongoing Online Educa Conference in Berlin

Trond M. Thorseth and Gabrielle Hansen Nygård from HiST, lead the demonstration of the brand new Peer Learning Assessment System (PeLe) at Online Educa, December 1st. The system got a lot of attention, and engaged teachers and instructors from many countries World Wide followed the demosessions during a period of 3 hours. During the demo the audience had to complete a small test, in order to simulate how students may experience an exam or test situation.

The picture shows the response from a group of teachers, which have just noticed in the post assessment phase after a short discussion, that they have completely misunderstood a question and answered 100% wrong. However, the just in time peer learning process carried out immediately after the test was completed, sorted out the correct answer. PeLe is fun!

Staff from many training organizations that attends Online Educa, have signed up for testing of the PeLe prototype. They will take part in the exploitation of the project results from the KA3-ICT project Done-IT in the year 2012. It is this project that developes the new assessment for learning solutions in combination with use of new training methods.

PeLe has also been demonstrated by a team of engaged developers and pedagogs from HiST, at the HiST-stand during the whole Online Educa conference.  After the two first days more than 65 organizations World Wide have signed up to receive more information about responsetechnologies and mobile learning methods developed by HiST. The picture below shows Ketil Arnesen and Pascal Pein from HiST, demonstrating PeLe for engaged teachers from China.
