Merry Christmas from HiST

2011 has been an exiting year in Trondheim. Many new R&D projects have been launched, many presentations have been done at international conferences, meetings and events, and we have established collaboration with new institutions and organizations in several European countries.

Our personnel have been key contributors in 8 workshops in Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, Portugal, Romania, UK and Serbia. 29 persons from the group have been involved in the R&D activities, and several new research experiments have been carried out. The results from those are under preparation. Though the capacity of our new digital learning lab has been doubled, it is still queues of students that want to use it. After our stand at Online Educa in Berlin in December, persons from almost 100 organizations World Wide want to test our online Student Response System (SRS), and the "sister", the Peer Learning Assessment Services (PeLe).

The New Year starts with a visit from the Selcuk University in Turky, and afterwards participation in ISE 2012 in Amsterdam at the end of January. Many teachers are ready to start testing the PeLe in full classes in January. It will also be tested in other areas, such as for instance mechanical industry, fish farming, business education etc. Our language teachers start developing new services that are going to improve language training.

This will be the last news posted in 2011. See you in 2012!

SRS 2.0, PELE 1.5, Eval 1.0 and iLike 1.0 are available for use.
