HiST presenting at EDULEARN12, Barcelona


EDULEARN12, the 4th annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies was held in Barcelona 2nd-4th July  2012, with more than 700 delegates from 75 different countries attending.

EDULEARN12 is an International Forum for those who wish to present their research projects, and discuss the latest innovations and results in the field of New Technologies in Education, E-learning and methodologies applied to Education and Research.

HiST was represented by Tord Talmo and Knut Bjørkli, who presented a total of six papers at EDULEARN12, relating to various ongoing projects like EuroPlast, Global SRS and Done-IT:

  • Experiences with design and use of large collaborative work and learning spaces in digital learning labs
  • Experiences with use of response technology in activity based training environments
  • Peer learning assessment services for modern mobile devices
  • The HiST Mobile Learning Programme
  • Experiences with use of activity based training methods in higher education and vocational education and training
  • Eliminating mistakes in language learning by use of online student response services
