HiST lead International Workshop in Belgrade

HiST organized together with Insitute Gosa, an international workshop in Belgrade in the beginning of March. The workshop gathered Vocational Education and Training personnel from industry, academia and institutions in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia and Norway. The workshop was financed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade. 40 persons attended.

The workshop provided basic knowledge about iQSim, Activity Based Training methods, as vell as use of e-learning within the VET sector, and gave examples of practical usage from previous and onging international projects. Addtionally, it connected industry, academia and institutions in Serbia, in order to establish an international consortium through which to develop project proposals for international funding based upon the iQSim simulator, in combination with Activity Based Training methods and e-learning tools for the VET sector. iQSim is earlier presented through the partnership of Sør Trøndelag University College and Institute Gosa in the W-Tech project.

The presenters represented the following institutions:

  • Institut za Varilstvo (IzV), Ljubljana, Slovenia
  • Hungarian Association for Material Testing and Welding (MHtE), Budapest, Hungary
  • VITEC, SME company from Verdal, Norway
  • Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST), Trondheim, Norway
  • Institute Gosa, Belgrade, Serbia

Use of multimedia as convenient, flexible e-learning tools were demonstrated by several presenters.

The workshop resulted in an international consortium which will be applying for a project that is going to extend the iQSim simulator services by use of Activity Based Training methods in combination with e-learning methods.
